Transportation Abundance is a research and advocacy initiative working to close the gap between what transportation agencies say they want and what they actually deliver — building the case, in public, for accountability mechanisms the transportation sector hasn’t yet built.
The argument is being developed in collaboration with an evolving group of researchers, practitioners, and advocates working across the abundance movement, the civic technology and state-capacity space, and existing transportation advocacy organizations — academics, non-profits, and public agencies each contributing a different piece of the puzzle. As those collaborations formalize, this page will reflect them.
Transportation Abundance was founded by Colin Drake, AICP, who brings nearly 25 years of experience inside the institutions this argument is about — from Seattle’s Department of Transportation and King County Metro to WSP, one of the world’s largest infrastructure consultancies, where he currently serves as Vice President of Planning.
